Freelance UX Designer - Capital Markets

Hudson Labs builds AI-driven software for institutional finance, helping investors and insurers extract critical insights from public company disclosures and financial data.
We are a Y Combinator company founded in 2019 and the first ever financial services application to be fully powered by LLMs.
We’re hiring a freelance designer to work closely with our team on product design, UX direction, and brand assets. This role is ideal for someone who learns quickly, has strong design instincts, and is comfortable working with modern AI tools.
Commitment
- ~25 hours per week
- Fixed fee or hourly (flexible depending on experience)
Location Requirement
- Must be able to work in person 1 day per week at 100 University Ave, Toronto
What You'll Do
- Help direct UX strategy across new and existing products
- Design new features and product interfaces
- Create brand assets and marketing collateral
- Collaborate closely with the team to iterate quickly and ship improvements
Mandatory
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast-moving environments
- Strong aesthetic sense
- Comfortable moving fast and working independently
- Fluent with modern AI tools used in design and workflows
- Ability to work in person 1 day per week in downtown Toronto
Very nice to have
- Experience with institutional finance or capital markets
